We have had a request that we remove the year from the t-shirt/sweatshirt design this year. This will be our design for the shirts/sweatshirts this fall...
Remember that orders can be turned in until October 14th only. Orders can be sent to Toni Gibbons by email or an order form filled out and given to the coaches at practice. Charges will be added to your monthly statement after the shirts are ordered.

Gators Fall Developmental Swim Meet
We just want to make you aware that we ARE planning a developmental meet for October but do NOT have a date or meet info set yet. We are now being required to have some additional certifications in place in order to host meets. A couple of us will be attending those meetings in Bountiful Friday, Sept. 27th. We would LOVE to have more people willing to serve on the meet committee to join us at those meetings! Once our certifications are in order we can officially sanction a meet.

For a team to be able to host meets we need the following:
Officials (stroke & turn, starter, referee positions are all available-- We are in serious need of a few more!)
Administrative Officials (min 1 but more would be great!!)
Meet Directors (min 1 but more would be great!!)
All of these require USA Swimming registration, training, and certification. They are great jobs to get involved! The Gators NEED people in these areas. Many of our people who have filled these spots in the past are now moving on. If we do not have people certified in these spots we will NOT be able to host any meets. Meets do help us financially as well as giving our swimmers more opportunities to get times. Please dive in and help us out!

September Newsletter
The September newsletter has been sent out via email. You may also access it by clicking the link below and selecting the September 2013 Gab document.
This month's newsletter includes some important information from the coaches as we begin the short-course season. Information on practices, workouts, equipment, and meets.
Also, there is an agenda for the 2013 Utah Swimming Convention that will be on September 27-28 in Bountiful at the South Davis Rec Center. Please get in touch with Greg Christiansen if you would be willing to assist our team with the new team requirements that are being put in place. His contact information can be found in the newsletter.
We won't be able to host our own meets any longer if we do not have some parents certified on the console and computer. This will include the intrasquad meets that we like to offer every few months for our swimmers to gain experience in a low-key meet setting and obtain new personal best times.
We also have a growing need to train some additional team officials. Greg can give you all of the information. The team will pay your fees for this training.

Annual Gator Open House
It is time once again for our Gator Swim Team Open House!
Monday, August 5th from 4:30-5:30 at the pool. This is your chance to invite your friends and family members who might be interested in finding out more about being part of a swim team. Swimmers, if you have friends who have asked about what you do every afternoon in the pool--this is their chance to find out! Parents, if you have friends who have mentioned how much their kids like to swim and how they are looking for a fun team and exercise opportunity--invite them to come and have their questions answered!
Swimmer, please come at your normal practice times. We will have REGULAR PRACTICE. The coaches will take care of showing interested swimmers what the swim team does and answer questions. They may have our swimmers doing some different practice sets and they may have them demonstrate certain things to new swimmers. They will be in charge of the open house.
Interested new swimmers can wear their swimsuits and hop in the pool and try it out with the coach's supervision. They can also just come and watch and ask questions. We will have paperwork available for those wanting to join. Parents, if you can come during the open house and help answer questions from other new parents that would be great!
This is a great time to help us add new swimmers to our team!
