We have a new shirt design for this swim season! Shirts and sweatshirts can be ordered by completing the ORDER FORM ONLINE. There will not be any paper order forms this year. Charges will be added to your bill for the items you order. Orders will be taken through Saturday, October 11th only.

Team apparel is NOT required, it is just offered for swimmers and/or parents who would like to purchase it. We hope to have the shirts and sweatshirts ready for pick up at our next Parent Meeting on October 27th. We do not plan on reordering shirts and sweatshirts. There will be a new design again next fall.

Short Course & Long Course

A short course pool is 25 yards (or, occasionally, 25 meters) long; a long course pool is 50 meters long. The majority of swimming competition in America, and the majority of the pools, are short course yards, while in other parts of the world, meter-length pools and long course competition are more prevalent. Most U.S. national and major international championships -- such as World Championships and the swimming competition at the Olympic Games -- are held at the long course distance.

The annual swimming calendar in the U.S. is divided into two seasons. From September to March, virtually all competition is short course.

April through August is long course season. During this period, swimmers train at, and meets are offered at, the long course distance whenever possible.
