The Bridgerland Open meet is on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7th. There are 2 sessions on Saturday (age based). Entries are due by January 31 to the Gators email.
Here is the meet information.
Remember, Gator parents who volunteer will receive a $10 credit on their meet entry fees (meet entry is $27...volunteering will take it down to $17). This is a big meet and we need a lot of assistance. We ask that you at least volunteer for the sessions that your swimmer participates in.
ABOUT THE GATORS... We are a competitive swim club and members of USA Swimming. Competitive swim clubs are a great place for friends, fitness and fun. Our non-profit swim team is parent-run and runs 12 months of the year and includes both short course and long course seasons. Our coaches ensure proper development of the swimmer’s skills with different ability groups. The Gators practice at the Sky View High School Swimming Pool.

New Volunteer Policies
The Gators Swim Team
is a non-profit, parent-run swim team.
Therefore, we must ask that parents of swimmers to volunteer in some
capacity to help the team. Our monthly dues and fundraisers allow us to
keep our dues reasonable.
Questions or concerns can be directed to Hanne
Sorensen, Team President or Melissa Niederhauser, Meet Director at our team email address.
DUES
Effective February
1, 2015, monthly dues will increase $5 per month for each swimmer in each
group.
When you sign-up for a
volunteer position for 2015 (we anticipate that you will fulfill the expectations
for the position) your swimmer’s account will be credited $5 each month for your volunteer time.
Due
to the greater ongoing time commitment for those holding Board Positions or USA
Registered Officials positions, these parents
will be credited $5 per month for their volunteer time AND the USA Registration
Fee for ONE of their swimmers. Due to the great need
for registered officials with the Gators Swim Team, the team will still
continue to pay the USA Registration Fee and other fees for our registered USA
officials.
A list of volunteer positions
and expectations is in a Google Docs document
where you can fill in your name for the position you will work on for 2015.
The document can be found by clicking on this link:
Position sign-ups are first-come, first-served. There are multiple slots for several positions. (Please do not remove someone else's name.) The document is automatically saved as it is edited. Let us know if there is a problem. If you have not signed up by February 1, 2015, your dues will increase. (Only one parent per family needs to sign up.)
You are certainly free to NOT volunteer and just pay the $5/per month dues increase.
MEETS
All parents who have a
swimmer (or swimmers) signed-up for a meet that is hosted by the Gators (inter
squads, dual meets, Fall Developmental, Spring Ball, and Bridgerland Open) are
asked to help at those meets in some way.
Effective February 1, 2015
the meet entry fees for these meets will be increased by $10 per swimmer. If a parent
volunteers at the swim meet (or receives
an exception for that meet from the Parent Board) they will receive a $10 credit
for each swimmer on their entry fees after the meet. Volunteers must sign-in at the meet in order
to receive their credit.
Only one parent/family member
per family is required to volunteer to receive credit for all your swimmers.
Meet volunteer positions will
be emailed to those families with swimmers signed up for events in the meet.

January Dual Swim Meet
We have scheduled another dual meet with the Barracuda Swim Team for January 23, 2015. It will be similar to the one we hosted in December--just 2 teams--fairly quick meet. It is a perfect place to try for state times or just to begin competing. Let your coach know that you want to compete or just email your entries to logangators@gmail.com
Entries are due before Monday Jan 19 @ 7:00 PM
