Welcome to the Cache Valley Marlins

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Cache Valley Marlins! I am really excited for this new venture. I hope you will bear with me and be patient during the transition process. It will take time, months even. But with support and patience, we will get the groove.

Some of you have asked about schedule for next week. Since I do not know what this group looks like at all, I will have a tentative schedule and then one that we want to work towards starting in September. 

For now, I want to have the advanced group (now Gold) swim from 3-5 daily. In Hyrum we have a Gold B team as well who swim 1.5 hours a day. I'm not sure if your group will have that option or not yet. 

Silver or Intermediate we can keep at 5-6:00 

Bronze or pre comp 4:30-5:00. 

After next week, I'd like to get into a schedule until High School swimming starts. Then the schedule will have to slightly change again only for the Gold swimmers. Sorry, it's just how it works with sharing a pool with High School and such. 

September I would like to have:

Gold 3-5 (these are mostly high school aged swimmers and some faster youngsters)

Gold B potentially 4:30-6:00. These would be your 6-8 grade kids who aren't as fast as Gold A, but still pretty good and need more than 1 hour in the pool. I'm not sure yet how to work this until I get out there next week. These kids will be the ones who will swim 4:30-6:00 once high schoolers leave for their season.

Silver can still go 5-6 daily 

Bronze I want Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 5-6. 

We will just have to see how things go when we get there. I will have help from Zaak and Bob and when the high school season begins, Marcus will be helping with Marlins in Smithfield as well. 

Things will be kind of crazy coach wise until we get settled, but we will figure it out. Expect emails.

Fill out your account information for all of your swimmers. Also your payment info. If you would rather pay by check, the checks are made to CVM and can be turned into me or one of the coaches. I prefer paying online so as to streamline the process and not worry about lost checks.

Team Merger

A Gator Parent Meeting was held on August 10, 2015, to discuss and vote upon a proposed team merger between the Logan Gators and the Cache Valley Marlins Swim Team.  A vote was taken at the meeting and votes were accepted via email as well.

The outcome of the voting was to merge the two teams.  The vote and decision followed all the requirements of the Logan Gator's bylaws.
